Karen is a highly experienced Organisational Coaching and Leadership/Culture Practitioner. She supports individuals, organisations and groups to achieve the strategic and relational development they consider vital to their sustainable and prosperous operation. She applies supportive leadership learning and professional supervision approaches in combination with group coaching techniques to deliver innovative, highly relevant and practical learning experiences for senior leadership teams in large organisations with top quality outcomes. In her work with Senior Leaders, Boards, People Managers, Technical Specialists and Operations Employees, Karen has designed innovative programmes which have supported the delivery of significant transformations within Leadership, Customer Service Finance, Commercial/Marketing and Engineering Teams, across High Performance Sport, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Public Service Sectors. She has also facilitated Director level Leadership teams of fast-growing corporates to review and harness their relational practice and productivity to deliver leadership sustainability in ultra-dynamic environments. Karen has generated many highly productive 1-1 coaching relationships with Senior Executives in both the UK and Ireland.
In 2021, Karen gained a Professional Doctorate in Organisational Consulting with the University of Essex, via the Tavistock & Portman Clinic, London. She also holds an MA from Oxford University, an MSc in Career Management & Coaching from the University of London, a CIM Diploma in Marketing, and a Diploma in Coaching Supervision. She also holds a GBR Conversion Diploma in Psychology from the Open University and is a Registered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. In addition to being a certified Practitioner in Consulting and Change with the Tavistock Institute, Karen is also accredited by the BPS for levels A&B Psychometric Testing. Through her coaching and psychology training, Karen has further engaged her natural relational thinking and emotional intelligence, allowing her to generate powerful development experiences alongside her organisational clients.
Trained as a scientist, the application of logical process, sound academic theory, and data-driven evaluation methods are central to Karen’s approach in the organisational development field. Her 12-year marketing, finance and procurement leadership background in blue chip organisations (ICI/Unichema Plc) and entrepreneurial environments (Microban Europe) ensures that commercial and strategic thought processes are always foremost in her client assignments. She is comfortable with high tech products & valued public services alike. The learning experiences that she designs and delivers are always engaging and comfortable for participants, truly enhancing their personal development journeys. As a natural innovator, Karen easily melds theories and best practices to create memorable models, which encourage deep thinking and offer practical approaches to real-life issues. In her non-work time, Karen also develops and competes young horses to become top class international showjumpers.
